The Cast Iron Picture Co. - Feature and Short Film Production

The Cast Iron Picture Co. produce multi-award winning short films.

The Showreel (2014) opened at BFI London Film Festival. It has also screened at Shanghai International Film Festival, Oscar-qualifying Rhode Island Film Festival, and won Best Short Film at Cambridge Film Festival.

"Nasreen is an immigrant office cleaner who dreams of being a movie star. One day she decides to make her dreams real. Changing her accent and her whole look, she creates characters and sets out imagining the real world is a film set."

Grace (2012) opened at the Tribeca Film Festival (2013) and in Europe at Cannes Film Festival, Court Métrage Short Film Corner. It won Best Screenplay at the 24fps Film Festival in Texas. See the festivals tab for a full list.

"Set the night a nuclear war breaks out, Grace is a compelling drama of interconnected lives, following a dozen individuals as they experience loss and understanding in the hours before the bombs fall."

Donkey (2011) won multiple best short film awards, and also opened at Tribeca Film Festival.

"An affecting short about a man whose life is going according to script. A chance encounter with someone he bullied when they were both children forces a dramatic reassessment of his values."

Air (2010), a sci-fi horror, was the first Cast Iron production. It won Keir Burrows a best first time director award, and screened at over 20 festivals.

"When all the air on the planet dies at a stroke, this is how two unlikely heroes struggle to survive."
